INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) and TOTAL are pleased to announce that the total volume of 8.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG from the Ichthys Project is to be sold, with approximately 70% of the Ichthys LNG to be delivered to Japan.

INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) announces today that Ichthys Project, which is undertaken by INPEX group of companies and Total group of companies, has been steadily progressing towards the Final Investment Decision (FID) to be made by the end of this year. While this remains our target, taking into account administrative constraints during the Christmas season and New Year holiday periods, the decision may slip into mid-January 2012.

The final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Ichthys LNG Project has been delivered to the Australian and Northern Territory governments for assessment and addresses community concerns over key aspects of the proposed development, INPEX President Director Australia Seiya Ito said today. The final EIS includes a Supplement in which the Project responds to all submissions received during the 8-week public review period for the Draft EIS, held from July to September 2010.

The Larrakia Trade Training Centre (the Centre) was today opened in Darwin, the Northern Territory, Australia. INPEX CORPORATION and its Ichthys LNG Project joint venture participant Total E&P Australia donated (AUS)$3million towards construction of the Centre.
13/04/2011 > EIS Supplement release date announced
INPEX will release the Supplement to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Ichthys LNG Project on Tuesday 19 April. The Supplement reproduces all the public submissions on the Draft EIS received during the 8- week public review period from July 2010, and provides responses to all community concerns raised in the submissions.
