18/12/2012 > Ichthys LNG Project Completes Project Financing Arrangements
INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) is pleased to announce today that the INPEX-led Ichthys LNG Project has finalized arrangements for US$20 billion in project finance* loans including those with eight export credit agencies (ECAs) and 24 commercial banks (ECAs and commercial banks are referred to as “Lenders”). The Ichthys project financing is the biggest project financing ever arranged in the international financial market.

(INPEX Browse) it has acquired a 50% participating interest, together with the operatorship, in the exploration block AC/P36 offshore Western Australia from Australian subsidiaries of Murphy Oil Corporation. INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) is pleased to announce that through its subsidiary, INPEX Oil & Gas Australia Proprietary Limited, it has agreed to acquire a 17.5% participating interest in the Prelude FLNG (Floating LNG: liquefied natural gas) Project from Shell Development (Australia) Proprietary Limited (SDA), a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell). 13/01/2012 > Final Investment Decision on Ichthys LNG Project
INPEX CORPORATION and TOTAL today confirmed the Final Investment Decision on the US$34 billion Ichthys LNG Project. INPEX Chairman Naoki Kuroda made the announcement in Darwin, the site of the onshore gas processing facilities which will be built to produce 8.4 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per annum.

INPEX CORPORATION (INPEX) and TOTAL today finalised the sale of the total volume of LNG from the Ichthys LNG Project with the signing of legally binding Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPA) with CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC), Chubu Electric Power Company, Inc. (Chubu Electric) and Toho Gas Co., Ltd. (Toho Gas).
