Bayu-Undan is an offshore gas and condensate field in the Joint Petroleum Development Area of the Timor Sea.
Gas travels via a 502 kilometre pipeline from the Bayu-Undan Field to the Darwin LNG plant in the Northern Territory where it is converted to LNG and shipped to market. The plant has an annual LNG production capacity of around 3.2 million tonnes. Since 2006, an average of one cargo per week has been safely shipped to customers.
ConocoPhillips operates the Bayu-Undan facility, pipeline and Darwin LNG plant. INPEX holds an 11.37812 per cent participating interest in the project.
