To support the environmental protection approval, a Construction Environmental Management Plan has been developed by the onshore LNG facility contractor, which provides information regarding the key onshore civil works activities and management measures for potential environmental impacts during the first stage of construction.

INPEX has been granted an environmental protection approval (EPA7) under the Waste Management and Pollution Control Act (NT) for construction of the onshore LNG facility.

Coastal Offset Strategy (Commonwealth Government)
INPEX is required to develop a Coastal Offset Strategy to meet Condition 11 of the Commonwealth environmental approval document, EPBC Approval Decision 4208/2008. The Coastal Offset Strategy outlines INPEX’s commitment to a number of environmental offset programs, which are designed to counterbalance the potential impacts of the Ichthys Project and help achieve long-term conservation outcomes.

Ichthys Onshore LNG Facilities Biting Insects Management Plan
A Biting Insects Management Plan for Plant site activities has been developed by the Onshore LNG facility contractor and assessed by the Department of Health. Biting insects are a potential public health issue in the Northern Territory and this plan describes the measures that will be taken to protect people from the impacts.

Notice of intent (NT Government)
