At INPEX we recognise our responsibility to adhere to the principles of “sustainable development”, which may be defined as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.
Our goal is to minimise the impacts our projects may have on the environment and to meet the levels of environmental performance expected by all those associated with our business. These commitments are captured within our Environmental Policy , which applies to all of INPEX’s Australian operations.
The company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management Process provides the strategic direction for meeting our Environmental Policy commitments and is our framework for achieving improved environmental performance. The process is used to integrate objectives, plans and activities into daily operations. Application of the model helps in establishing priorities, and guides the development of measures to monitor the progress of HSE implementation.
The HSE Management Process will help to maintain INPEX’s reputation as a company that is actively committed to protecting the environment.
